GOLDEN RETRIEVER

Genetic blood tests are performed.

PRA - PRA 1 - PRA 2

They allow us to know whether our dog is a carrier of PROGRESSIVE RETINA ATROPHY or not.

Sometimes we can have subjects who show no pathological signs during eye examination, but through genetic testing on the blood can show if they are healthy carriers of this pathology.

    Eye examination procedure:

  • On-site registration and control of the dog's microchip
  • In-depth eye examination and eye dilation. Pupil is dilated to examine the fundus of the eye. It is advisable to repeat this examination once a year.
  • Gonioscopy: through the application of a lens on the cornea the iridocorneal angle is measured. Any deviation from the standard measurements can be potentially predictive of future glaucoma. This test is recommended every three years.
